First Draft - Poster

I created a first draft of how i want my final poster about my thriller trailer, 'Hear My Cry' to be like. i thought the dark, scary woods is effective as in the trailer the girl is last seen alive running into the woods, the dark lighting empathises the tension created for the audience as they are scared for her as they know woods are create a dark, eerie atmosphere altogether. The fact i placed the girl looking back in between the tree's indicates to the audience she isn't likely to return from the woods but also that she is the first aspect the viewer is going to see when first glancing at the poster itself. I decided on making her faded to create tension but also portray a deeper meaning for the audience to work out for themselves and allow various interpretations of the film, the actually reason i done this particular effect was to show she is fading away as she is a ghost, because she ends up dead in the film but is still present with us, like her spirit is still around. 'Hear My Cry' is placed right in the middle of the poster, in a very small font so it relates to the film itself as she wants people to hear her however only her best friend does resulting in only her cry hardly been heard. I think i am going to modify the font to a more scary handwritten font as the current one i personally believe is rather feminine for the meaning it is actually portraying. The fact the font is red relates to the thriller/horror genre as red represents danger and consequently she ends up in danger in my film.
